LIGHTHOUSE KIDS FACTS ABOUT ABA THERAPY
ABA is a proven, medically necessary therapy that teaches functional, day to day living skills, self-advocacy, school readiness, social skills and effective communication through behavioral modification and more.
ABA uses positive reinforcement to improve every aspect of learning through behavioral principles that set attainable goals, reinforce appropriate behaviors, and measure outcomes.
ABA is an intensive, specialized and individualized approach requiring a minimum commitment of 10 hours weekly. Therapy plans typically range from 10 to 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Why is this important? This commitment recognizes the uniqueness of each child and sets goals to achieve lifelong learning, social skill engagement, emotional regulation and the realization of a child’s full potential and quality of life.
